This Privacy Policy explains how PadelMob (the "Service") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our app and related services.

PadelMob is a consumer/social app for recording padel matches and viewing stats within your private friend circle. We do not sell personal data.

1) Who we are (Controller)

Under UK GDPR / GDPR, you have the right to complain to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

2) What data we collect

A) Account and identity

• Email address (required)
• Authentication provider identifiers (Google or Apple sign-in IDs/tokens required for login)
• Internal user ID (randomly assigned)

Why email is required: to uniquely identify an account and contact you if needed for security, account, or support reasons.

B) Profile data

• Display name (if provided via your sign-in provider or set in-app)
• Profile photo/avatar (optional; may be enabled later)
• Friend code (generated by us; used for adding friends)

C) Match and stats data (content you create)

• Matches you create or participate in (date/time, participants, scores/sets, outcome)
• Location name (free-text reference only, if you enter it)
• Optional notes you add
• Derived stats (e.g., matches played, win rate)

D) Device and technical data (limited)

• IP address (for security and basic service operation)
• Device/app technical data needed to operate the Service (e.g., session identifiers)
• Error logs required to maintain stability and improve the Service (no dedicated third-party analytics/crash platform in v1)

3) What we do not collect

• No date of birth, gender, or special category data
• No address book/contacts access
• No in-app chat/messaging
• No "nearby players" discovery in v1
• No public leaderboards in v1
• No payments/subscription billing data in v1

4) How we use your data

We use personal data to:

• Provide the Service (accounts, match recording, friend connections, stats)
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
• Respond to support requests
• Improve app reliability and user experience

5) Legal bases for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract (to provide the Service you request)
• Legitimate interests (security, preventing misuse, app reliability and improvement)
• Consent (only where required — e.g., optional permissions like notifications/camera if added later)
• Legal obligation (where applicable)

6) Sharing and visibility in the app

PadelMob is designed to be private:

• Non-friends cannot see your data.
• Friends are added by friend code only.
• In v1, you can view data within your immediate friend circle only.

Matches:

• For shared/verified matches, visibility is limited to participants and their friends (as implemented in the app).

7) How we share data with third parties

We share data only with service providers needed to operate the Service:

• Supabase (EU / AWS) – authentication, database, and storage. We do not use third-party analytics or crash reporting platforms in v1.

We may also share information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

8) International transfers

Our core infrastructure is hosted in the EU (Supabase on AWS EU). Some processing may still involve international transfers (for example, Google/Apple sign-in providers may process data in other countries as part of authentication). Where transfers occur, providers typically rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

9) Retention

• We keep personal data while your account is active.
• If you delete your account, we remove your identifying account/profile data (e.g., email, profile identifier, display name, avatar if stored).
• We retain match records but anonymise your participation so other players can keep their match history (your identity is removed from those records).
• Technical logs are retained for as long as necessary for stability and security.

10) Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including access controls and secure connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11) Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to:

• access, correct, or delete your personal data
• object to or restrict certain processing
• data portability (in some cases)
• withdraw consent (where consent is the legal basis)

12) Children

PadelMob is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

13) App store disclosures

We maintain privacy disclosures required by app stores (e.g., Apple "App Privacy Details"). These disclosures should be consistent with this policy.

14) Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest revision.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the PadelMob mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1) Operator and contact

PadelMob is operated by Mike Sinnott, trading as PadelMob (sole trader).

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3) Accounts and sign-in

• Sign-in is provided via Google or Apple.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account access.
• You must not use another person's account.

4) What the Service is (and isn't)

PadelMob lets you record padel matches, track stats, and view match history within your private friend circle.

No reliance: The Service and any stats, summaries, or insights are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

No coaching advice: Nothing in the Service constitutes professional coaching, training, medical, or fitness advice.

5) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe others' rights
• harass, threaten, bully, or impersonate others
• upload unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content
• attempt to hack, reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
• bypass access controls or attempt unauthorised access

6) Your content (match records, profile info)

You retain ownership of the content you submit ("User Content").

You grant PadelMob a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your User Content only as necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

You confirm you have the rights to submit your User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

7) Friends, sharing, and visibility

PadelMob is designed to be private:

• Friends are added by friend code
• Non-friends cannot see your data in v1
• Shared/verified matches are visible only to participants and their friends (as implemented in-app)

You are responsible for who you add and what you share. We are not responsible for disputes between users.

8) Moderation, suspension, and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, remove content, or restrict features:

• if you breach these Terms,
• if we believe it is necessary to protect the Service, users, or our rights,
• or for security/maintenance reasons.

Important: We reserve broad discretion, but we will not exercise it in a way that is unlawful (e.g., discriminatory) or prohibited by mandatory consumer protection laws.

9) Account deletion

Account deletion is available in-app.
When you delete your account, we remove your identifying account/profile data. We may retain match records in anonymised form so other participants can keep their match history.

10) Intellectual property

The Service (including code, design, branding, and trademarks) is owned by or licensed to PadelMob. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service except as permitted by law.

11) Third-party services and platforms

Your use of the Service may also be governed by Apple's and Google's platform terms. Third-party services (e.g., authentication) may have their own terms and privacy practices.

12) Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

13) Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death/personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or loss of data.
• Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to £50 (or, if higher, the amount you paid to use the Service in the 12 months before the claim — currently £0 for a free app).

14) User publicity / sharing

You are welcome to share screenshots and content from PadelMob publicly.

Commercial use (e.g., using PadelMob branding to sell a product/service) requires our written permission.

15) Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.

16) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (subject to mandatory consumer protections).
